Ship to Gaza

Activists are once again trying to enter the Gaza Strip. The blockade of the area by Egypt and Israel, was intensified five years ago, is supposedly preventing Palestinian rocket attacks. But at the same time, it obstructs import and export through the area, leaving 1.6 million people without necessities such as sewage, food and clean water. This june, 50 international organizations, signed a statement declaring the blockade as a violation of international law. But the UN and several western governments, are still hesitating to call the situation in Gaza a humanitarian crisis, as this would make the blockade illegal. The organization Ship to Gaza are hoping to be heard, even though their expeditions are failing, time after time:
